Contactable, a leading digital identity orchestration platform and provider of biometric identity proofing solutions for African businesses, will be using T5-AirSnap Face technology from TECH5, an innovator in the field of biometrics and digital identity management, for eKYC during the digital onboarding of customers.

T5-AirSnap Face is a fully contactless biometric capture technology powered by AI and deep learning for face biometric modality that is available for deployment on iOS, Android as native SDK or on the Web. T5-AirSnap Face allows for accurate biometric acquisition by using the built-in camera of a smartphone or a web-camera on a desktop and checking the quality of the frame being captured. Processing happens on the edge with the user receiving real time feedback and guidance: if the lighting conditions are poor or other artifacts are present, the T5-AirSnap Face continuously analyzes the frames until the quality thresholds are met. The resulting images are of the highest possible quality and are ICAO-compliant. Once the image is collected, T5-AirSnap Face ensures that the captured image is checked for liveness and then sent for verification or registration within seconds.

Contactable, as part of its orchestration platform, provides omni-channel customer onboarding capabilities and is using T5-AirSnap Face via Web interface to further reduce customer friction during the biometric capture process and will deploy it on smartphones as well in the near future.
