To provide citizens with flexibility, allowing them to apply for a digital ID from any location, and to simplify data collection and verification, an issuer can adopt T5-AirSnap – a multi-modal contactless capture technology, allowing for biometric data acquisition using a camera of a mobile device.

With T5-AirSnap, citizens can capture their face and fingerprints using their smartphones in a fast and intuitive way. This data will be then stored in their Digital ID for biometric verification.

Before creating a Digital ID, an issuer can de-duplicate the citizen’s data against the existing database within seconds, to ensure that the record is unique.

Once the ID is issued, it can be biometrically verified against its holder’s face or fingerprints. All of it can be done using T5-OmniMatch multi-biometric matching technology.

Digital identity is critical to securely and efficiently leverage other digital systems. A digital credential (Digital ID) can be issued in an encrypted format in the form of a secure machine readable code, protected with biometrics. This code can include all required data, including status, full name, address, and other information, as well as biometric templates and photos of face and fingerprints – for 1:1 matching on mobile.

This becomes possible with T5-IDencode – a technology platform for digital ID issuance that is truly built on principles of high security, inclusion, privacy and protection of personal data. It allows strong binding of the digital credential to the holder biometrically and brings ownership of the identity to its authorized holder. With this innovative Digital ID, the holder controls what data to share under what circumstances.
