Continuing its rapid advances in the burgeoning digital identification market of India, Syntizen Technologies has now bagged the tender for ‘Liveness Detection Software Solution’ for Friendly Electronic Services in Transport Department (FEST), Telangana. The flagship endeavour is launched by Syntizen in association with its Geneva-headquartered technology partner TECH5 – which will provide AI-driven algorithm for the same – and has made FEST the first state government department to deploy a face liveliness detection solution in India.
Syntizen offers a number of tech-driven digital identification products including ABAS (Aadhaar-based Attendance System), edo Suite (Aadhaar masking solution), and Aadhaar Core Engine (for KYC, authentication, and subsidy management) alongside others. The platform has active tie-ups with a number of cross-sectoral establishments including Muthoot Fincorp, Motilal Oswal, and even the Government of Telangana. Given its proven track record and technological expertise, Telangana State Technology Services (TSTS) – which had floated the tender for FEST – evaluated Syntizen’s solution and awarded the contract as its official supplier.
The TECH5 team, on the other hand, has over 15 years of experience in developing and deploying biometric driven solutions and has worked with globally reputed organizations like the UN, Worldbank and Governments around the world, driving National-scale projects with its multi-modal biometric matching engines. It has also been recognized as one of the top ranked vendors in the world by the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), US Department of Commerce for Face Authentication.
Speaking on the development, Vamsi Kotte, CEO and Co-Founder Syntizen Technologies said, “Syntizen ventured into Facial Authentication & Liveness Detection Solutions a couple of months ago and we are extremely overwhelmed to receive the tender from TSTS. It will weed out the need for citizens to physically visit the transport office as they will soon be able to avail various RTA department’s services directly from their handsets via an app.”
Siddharth Kukatlapalli, CBO and Co-Founder, Syntizen Technologies said, “After our immensely successful journey with Aadhaar-enabled software solutions, we feel proud to introduce our fresh business offering, Facial Authentication and Liveness detection. It will pave the way not just for us, but our entire nation to penetrate into the international waters of digital identity market. We may be known for our Aadhaar solutions until now, but with this, we have successfully diversified our product line and entered the broader digital identity market.”
Machiel van der Harst, CEO and Co-Founder, TECH5, commented: “We congratulate Syntizen on this important win that further establishes the company as a key player in the digital identification space. We recognized Syntizen early on as an innovation-driven provider of authentication services and the ideal partner for TECH5, combining our top-tier Biometrics and Liveness Detection technologies with solid operational capabilities and services offerings to key customers in India.
Incepted in 2014, Syntizen has so far enabled leading market players and government bodies to introduce several first-of-their-kind schemes including ‘3-min Gold Loans’, ‘Instant Bank Account’, ‘Instant Housing Loans’, and ‘Trade in an Hour’ alongside others. With the deployment of Face Liveliness Detection Solution now, Syntizen has added yet another feather in its cap.
